On Saturday morning, April 2, around 9:30ish a small convoy of 4 cars headed out from the Khatt Springs Adnoc station up towards Jebal Khatt. We passed through the small town of Khatt before turning onto our graded track, which quickly gave us a steep climb up forcing us into 4WD without any hesitation. We found an area to pull off the track in order to deflate our tires to 25 psi to give us some cushion and grip as we were now about to tackle the mountain terrain. Our drive was only 30 KM in total and as it was a round trip it was 15 KM up and 15 KM back however, the whole drive took us nearly 6 hours (including lunch break on the top of Jebal Khatt) as much of the terrain was tricky and challenging, rocky, mountainous terrain with parts of the track washed out from time to time. We had a few obstacles here and there but the team worked seamlessly with each other to ensure safe passage for all of the vehicles and passengers. We reached an elevation of about 640 meters, which gave us nice and cool temperatures to enjoy. This was a great adventure for everyone as it gave us all a unique experience of an area of UAE that most people do not even know exist. Thanks to Paul, Milind, Raj, and Adi for your great driving and company on the trip and all of the passengers who added to the fun! Very much looking forward to the next adventure!
